Ethnic slurs are something that many people are taught are wrong, but few know the meaning of these words and why they are hurtful. Smith College Professor Elizabeth Stordeur Pryor studies the impact of language on society, specifically the impact of racist language. Her approach was framed, in part, by her experience as a biracial woman in the United States. Carrie Saldo sat down with Pryor and three of her students to learn more.
