Poverty Linked to Low Life Expectancy in Springfield

Data from the National Center for Health Statistics recently confirmed something that people working in western Mass’s social service industry already knew: people who live in poorer neighborhoods in Springfield have a lower life expectancy that those who live in more affluent areas. Katherine Cook, Vice President of Clinical Services at the Center for Human Development (CHD), joined host Carrie Saldo to share her reactions into the link between poverty and low life expectancy.
