The Motherhood Penalty and Wage Gaps for Working Moms

UMass School of Public Policy and Sociology Professor Joya Misra outlined that research in a paper titled Motherhood Penalty: The Wage Gap Between Women with Kids and Those Without. Carrie Saldo spoke with Misra about that research, how the United States fares compared to other countries on this issue, and whether new laws might help reverse this disparity.
