We often hear about programs which help young students to become stronger readers, but sometimes adults need help, too. Adults may be afraid or hesitant to reach out because of the stigma associated with struggling to read. The Literacy Project of Northampton hopes to reduce adult illiteracy by offering adult education classes. These classes open doors for people and create opportunities that are life changing. Carolee McGrath sat down with Judith Roberts, Executive Director of the Literacy Project and student Joe Lubold, a student, to hear about the impact the program is having.
