Using Legos in the Classroom with Teacher John Heffernan

John Heffernan sees big things when he looks at tiny little Lego bricks. A former software engineer and now a teacher at Anne T. Dunphy School in Williamsburg, Heffernan uses the little plastic pieces as the building blocks for an engineering class. He’s a firm believer that engineering comes naturally to kids and that elementary school students should be taught its principles. What makes Legos a good place to start? He shared his thoughts with host Carrie Saldo recently.
