During his more than 30-year career, veteran journalist Ray Suarez has reported for a variety of news agencies including: National Public Radio (NPR), Al Jazeera America, and nearly fifteen years as a correspondent for the PBS Newshour.
Suarez is also an author who explores Latino American History, and the intersection of faith and politics. He’s currently the John J. McCloy Visiting Professor of American Studies at Amherst College, where he teaches a course entitled “From the Moral Majority to the Rise of the ‘Nones.'” Suarez joins Carrie Saldo to discuss teaching, fake news, reporting in the social media age, and more.
