Many students rely on free meals provided by their schools throughout the school year. With the announcement of school closures statewide due to COVID-19, Holyoke Public Schools stepped up to ensure no child goes hungry. The district is providing school-aged children with free breakfast and lunch at several food distribution site around the Paper City. The grab-n-go meals feed children while maintaining the social distancing protocols. Holyoke Schools Superintendent Dr. Stephen Zrike spoke with Zydalis Bauer about the free meals and other resources the district is offering to families.
