There’s currently no legal limit for driving while high in Massachusetts, where recreational marijuana use is now legal. A drugged driving task force will weigh in on proposed limits by January 2019. How will law enforcement handle the drugged driving for the next few months?
While there are no clear answers, there are several drug recognition experts in the state. Many are specially trained police officers who can spot signs of drug use, including marijuana. Northampton Police Officer Matthew Montini is one such expert and he sat down with Carrie Saldo to explain what he is seeing on the streets.
