On July 17, 2016 West Springfield, MA teenager Conor McCormick suffered a severe spinal cord injury while swimming in a friend’s pool. The accident left McCormick paralyzed. After months of treatment at Springfield’s Baystate Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, and the Shepard Center in Atlanta, McCormick returned home to West Springfield to recover from his spinal injuries. Despite incredible challenges, countless hospital stays, multiple surgeries, and hours of rehab, Conor has become a positive, strong leader in his community, inspiring everyone he meets to have a little faith.
