The sharing economy is taking off—with houses, cars, and now bicycles being offered for limited time rentals. ValleyBike Share began lasat summer, with about 500 electrically-assisted smart bicycles distributed to docking stations in Hampden and Hampshire Counties. Users can buy memberships or rent bikes on an as-needed basis. ValleyBike is closed for winter but plans to re-open this spring.
