UMass Baby Berk Food Truck Serves Up Summer Meals to Low Income Families

This summer, UMass Amherst participated in a federally funded, state-administered Summer Food Service Program. Baby Berk, the flagship campus’s food truck, ventured off campus to provide free, healthy meals to kids and teenagers 18-years-old and younger in Amherst, MA. The goal was to serve kids who depend on school meals when classes aren’t in session. Connecting Point’s Emily Blomquist followed the food truck for a day and shares the story.
