It’s been nearly three years since the domestic terror attack on a Tennessee military facility that killed Springfield-native Marine Gunnery Sgt. Thomas J. Sullivan and four other military personnel. Sullivan, an Iraqi combat veteran, was hailed as a hero for trying to save others that day.
Since his death, his family has honored his memory by helping those who are in need. Their latest effort will be teaming up with Habitat for Humanity to build Tommy’s House in Springfield. Tommy’s House will be home to a military family in need.
Carolee McGrath sat down with Tommy’s aunt Dianne Mullin, sister Diane Sullivan Caron, and Habitat for Humanity‘s Jenn Schimmel to learn more about the project.
