Berkshire County Public Defender Richard LeBlanc

Berkshire County Public Defender Richard LeBlanc knows a lot about defending clients facing long odds. The Pittsfield lawyer has represented clients in difficult cases, including two of the most notorious defendants in Berkshire County history: Lewis Lent and Wayne Lo.

LeBlanc recently received the Edward J. Duggan Award from the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counseling Services for his work. He joined Carrie Saldo in studio to discuss what it’s like being a public defender and why he pursued a career as a defense lawyer.
