This month, the Boston Globe published two opinion pieces centered on how Congressman Richard Neal campaign contribution spending. Freelance journalist and Haydenville, MA resident David Daley’s analysis of Neal’s campaign finance filings reveal that hundreds of thousands of dollars were spent on campaign events at five-star restaurants, high-end hotels, and private boxes at sporting events. Daley believes these expenditures to be inappropriate, while Neal and his supporters say there’s nothing wrong. Supporters also claim Daley’s opinion is skewed by his own political ambitions.
