It’s been said that farmers have the best stories. That’s why local non-profit Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture (CISA) is hosting “Field Notes: An Afternoon of Storytelling” Sunday, November 24 at the Academy of Music in Northampton. Ten local people, including farmers, chefs, and gardeners, will take the stage to share their own life stories about local food and farms. Storytelling topics range from the hysterical to the profound. Elodie Chicoine, of Chicoine Family Farm in Easthampton, is one of the ten storytellers taking that stage at the Academy. Chicoine shares why she wanted to participate in this event, how growing up on a farm shaped her, and the stories that her family carries from generation to generation.
