“Prison State” Preview

An upcoming “Frontline” documentary “Prison State” will be airing Tuesday April 29 at 10pm. it takes an intimate look at the cycle of mass incarceration in America and one state’s effort to reverse the trend. On a local level, we’re finding out from Franklin County Sheriff Chris Donelan what he’s doing in his jail to help transition people from inmates to civilians.

Making It Here: Hip Hop Studio

Musician educator and faculty member at the Community Music School, James “Scorpio” Andrews decided staying local to his family was more important than chasing his hip hop dreams so now he combines the best of both the worlds. Using his company Stinger Style Productions, he teaches after school programs and at-risk youth the importance of the positive traits of hip hop music and encourages them overcome any negativity in their lives. His 13 year old son Jaevon loves to help him out and considers his dad his role model.
