Understanding Changes to the 2020 United States Census

The census happens every ten years, but the 2020 United States Census may include some big changes, For the first time, the U.S. Census Bureau plans to distribute the country’s population survey online to about 80% of households. The census may also include a question about citizenship (the citizenship question is currently facing legal challenges). Molly Goren-Watts form Pioneer Valley Planning Commission and Susan Strate from UMass Donahue Institute are working on census efforts in western Mass. They joined Carrie Saldo to discuss the changes and questions about the census.
