Massachusetts Grand Bargain on Minimum Wage & Sales Tax Holiday

A law dubbed the Massachusetts Grand Bargain is legislation that will create a permanent sales tax holiday, increase the minimum wage to $5 over the next five years, and create new paid family and medical leave programs in the Commonwealth. Not everyone was in favor of the compromise legislation, including Sate Representative Carlos Gonzalez. Rep. Gonzalez joined Carrie Saldo to explain why he was one of the few legislators who voted against the bill initially.
