Mayor, Town Council Face Off Over Legalized Marijuana in West Springfield

Recreational marijuana sales became legal in Massachusetts on July 1, with individual cities and towns deciding whether to allow recreational sales. The Town Council voted against allowing legalized marijuana in West Springfield, only to have the measure vetoed by May William Reichelt. The Council claims they are following the will of voters, who voted against the ballot measure in 2016. Reichelt believes that legalized marijuana sales would benefit the town.

Mayor Reichelt and Councilor George Kelly sat down with host Carrie Saldo to discuss their differing viewpoints on the hot button issue.
