Nueva Esperanza Puerto Rican Emergency Preparedness Project

It’s been nearly ten months since Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, but many people are still without adequate shelter or electricity. The Puerto Rican Emergency Preparedness Project, spearheaded by Nueva Esperanza in Holyoke, is a new initiative to help two Puerto Rican towns recover from the hurricane. Nelson Roman, the Executive Director of Nueva Esperanza, joins Carolee McGrath to discuss how the organization is raising money to help families rebuild.
