Teens for Action Springfield Advocate Against Gun Violence

Inspired by the tragic shooting that occurred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Florida on February 14th, high school Sophomore Sarah Reyes and Senior Travaugh Smith formed Teens for Action Springfield. The group advocates against gun violence through the power of youth in a technology driven society, with social media as their main means of communication. As producer Alejandro Cameron shows us, even though these teens haven’t reached the legal age to vote, they are making their voices heard in other ways.
