Local Colleges Join New England College Renewable Partnership

Colleges in western New England have stepped up their game when it comes to alternative energy use and efficiency. Amherst College, Williams College, Hampshire College, Smith College, and Bowdoin College have joined together in the New England College Renewable Partnership. By creating a new solar power facility in Maine, participants in the pioneering NEC Renewable Partnership expect to offset a most of their respective campuses electrical use.

Energy experts from Williams College, Amherst College, and Smith College joined host Carrie Saldo to talk more about this first-of-its-king higher education solar energy consortium.
