Middlesex County PACT Prison Program Reduces Recidivism Rates

More than half of young adult men (18-24 years old) released from correctional facilities or prisons in Massachusetts are back behind bars within three years of their release. But a new program in Middlesex County hopes to reduce recidivism rates through the PACT Prison Program.  

P.A.C.T., or People Achieving Change Together, at the Middlesex Jail & House of Correction, is a new, first-of-its-kind, housing unit specifically tailored to deal with the unique needs of incarcerated young adults. Connecting Point‘s Cristina Quinn gives us a look inside.
