Proposed Bill Makes Civics Education Required in Massachusetts High Schools

A law that would increase civics education in Massachusetts public high schools is making its way through the State House. Last month, the senate passed the bill, which will move on to the House for approval before heading to Governor Charlie Baker’s desk. State Senator Eric Lesser and State Rep. Solomon Goldstein-Rose have been integrally involved in the creation of the proposed law. Lesser and Golstein-Rose join Connecting Point to discuss the bill and what changes it will make to the Massachusetts high school curriculum.
