Web Exclusive: Holyoke Infrastructure Day

When we drive over roads or bridges, or run the water at home, we often take for granted the engineering behind these conveniences. But on May 14th in Holyoke, people spent the day celebrating the unique infrastructure of the city, in particular the dam on the Connecticut River and the canal system which kept the mills up and running in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Connecting Point’s Carolee McGrath sat down with Olivia Mausel and Joe Paul, the co-chairs of the Holyoke Historical Commission to learn more about the infrastructure of the Paper City.
